Water is vital for all of us. We depend on its good quality-and quantity-for drinking, washing, recreation, use in industry, agriculture and much more. It is also vital to sustaining the natural systems above and below the earth's surface. Water that we use everyday is heavily dependent on groundwater. Unfortunately, because groundwater is a hidden resource, its purity and availability is taken for granted. Nonetheless, contamination and availability are serious issues.
