Waterwatch
Northern Adelaide and Barossa Originally
an initiative of the City of Salisbury, Waterwatch began in 1995, with 3 schools
involved. In 1998, a strong partnership was formed with what is now the AMLRNRM
Board, which enabled the program to be expanded across the Northern Adelaide and
Barossa region. During
2007, we will offer programs from The Watershed, a Regional Sustainability Centre
owned by the City of Salisbury and located at Greenfields Wetlands. This will
allow us to provide more resources and assistance to schools, community groups
and the wider community. For
this new year, we are looking forward to increasing the capacity of our school
support program and developing further our biological monitoring of macroinvertebrates
and fish. Here's hoping the drought breaks so we can do this! Catchments
in our sub-region: - Dry
Creek
- Gawler
(North & South Para Rivers)
- Little
Para River
