A typical LIFECYCLE of a FROG
EGG 21 days: Spawn is the name given to a group of fertilised frog eggs and the jelly that surrounds them
TADPOLE 7-10 days: spent feeding on the remaining yolk, which is actually in its gut. They have poorly developed gills,mouth and tail
  10 days: after 10 days it will begin to swim freely around feeding on algae
  4 weeks: a layer of skin grows over the gills and they disappear tiny teeth appear develop a long coiled gut which helps them digest food
  6-9 weeks: tiny legs begin to appear the head is more distinct the diet may now include small insects a bulge appears where the arms will pop out, elbow first
  12 weeks:

it is now much more frog like but still possesses a stumpy tail

FROG 16 weeks: depending on available food and water, it is now fully developed and is spending most of it's life out of water eating a carnivorous diet
 

MOST FROGS LIVE BETWEEN 4-15 YEARS. HOWEVER, THE EUROPEAN
COMMON TOAD HAS BEEN KNOWN TO LIVE FOR UP TO 40 YEARS.
